ABOUT US
My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.
Land was purchased in 1869 and the erection of a stone church was begun. It was not until 1873 that the building was completed. Previous to this, services were held in a local log building. The church was consecrated by Bishop John Travers Lewis in 1883. St. Paul's was destroyed by a fire in 1899 and while a new church was being constructed, the congregation worshipped in a building formerly used as a Methodist chapel. The second St. Paul's was consecrated by Bishop Charles Hamilton on June 25, 1901. Since 1970, Renfrew has been a single point parish; though it now shares a priest part time with the Parish of Emmanuel, Arnprior.
